Introduction course Aikido in Delft

Do you want to try Aikido?

Always been fascinated by martial arts but not by aggression and violence? Do you want to pursue a sport you can practise your entire life? Or perhaps you want to pursue a sport, which allows you to work on your physical and mental health? And do this with others?

Then Aikido might be for you!

Aikido is a Japanese martial art invented by Morihei Ueshiba at the beginning of last century combining the highly effective techniques of Jiu Jitsu with a philosophy of non-violence and conflicts resolution. This philosophy still forms the bases of Aikido separating it from all other martial arts.

Everybody can start Aikido, young or old, man or woman. The techniques do not require strength and safety during training is paramount. Teachers and the group as a whole are conscious of safety.

We have an introductory Aikido course for anybody who is interested. This course consists of 10 lessons in total. This includes 2 free try out lessons. If after the 2 try out lessons you decide you like it then we will ask you to fill out an application form and pay 35 euros for the following 8 lessons. After the introductory course you can further decide if you would like to become a member of our club.

Are 10 lessons enough to learn the basics of Aikido? We think not, but you will have a good idea of the atmosphere in the Dojo and if you like Aikido in general.

Interested people can start at any time and are welcome at any of the training sessions. We would appreciate it if you could mail (or call) us in advance.

To participate all you need is a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt or similarly comfortable clothing. If you happen to have an old judo suite lying around that is even better. And also bring a pair of flip-flops.
